This year may well go down in history as the great workplace reset. In 2022 – and approaching three years since the start of the covid-19 pandemic – employers are grappling with myriad challenges.
One in five workers around the world say that they plan to leave their job this year, according to PwC’s global survey of more than 50,000 people, increasing pressure on employers. The same study also revealed that employees are discussing social and political issues more now, meaning that firms must listen – and those workplaces that best understand what workers need are set to attract and retain the best talent.
Post-pandemic, this macro picture means that workplace culture has never been more important, and great employers are now rethinking it around three main pillars: flexibility, diversity and well-being.
